Warehouse Collection Controller

Due to increased parcel volume, we require people to join our team. M&H Carriers are recruiting for Warehouse Collection Controller in our Inverness depot.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Warehouse Collection Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and coordinating with various departments to optimize warehouse operations.

Main responsibilities:

• Loading / unloading vehicles.
• Checking off freight manifests.
• Accurate scanning of freight.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Oversee the collection process for incoming shipments, ensuring timely receipt and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to schedule inbound deliveries and manage dock schedules.
• Verify the condition and quantity of received goods, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers or carriers.
• Forklift driving.
• Manual handling.
• Ensuring good housekeeping within the depot.
• Demonstrating good health and safety practises.

Essential skills:

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics coordination.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Advantageous:

Previous experience in this role

Forklift licence – not essential as training can be provided where necessary.

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 47.5h per week

Please note that your employment with M&H Carriers is contingent upon the submission of a basic disclaimer (DBS) within the first three weeks of your start date. If you do not currently have a basic disclaimer, you may obtain one for a fee of £25.00. M&H Carriers will refund this £25.00 fee upon the successful completion of your probation period.
